James “Greg” Johanson
President

Greg Johanson is the President and owner of Solar Electrical Systems headquartered in Westlake Village California. He has been a pioneer in solar energy systems, solar pioneer for over 30 years, working in the industry for over 30 years, before solar was cool. He has built Solar Electrical Systems into the largest, most experienced and most innovative full-service photovoltaic installer in Southern California. The company has installed over 800 residential solar arrays and 200 commercial systems in its 30-year history. With a vast experience in the industry, Greg is recognized as one of the few experts in the solar power generation field.

Greg is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records for setting the first speed record for a solar car, piloting the Sunrunner, reaching a top speed of 41 mph.  He co-designed and developed the vehicle, which was the first car exclusively powered by solar energy.  He is also the inventor of a solar roof for the Toyota Prius, featured on solarelectricalvehicles.com.  gj@solarelectricalsystem.com

Bruce Purdy
Solar Consultant

Bruce joined Solar Electrical Systems this year, and handles sales in the West Valley and Ventura areas. He has experience as an energy sales engineer, and has worked as a mechanical sales engineer for major corporations, where he designed, built and managed large projects.  bruce@solarelectricalsystems.com

Teresa von Borzestowski
Controller

Teresa has been at Solar Electrical Systems for seven years, and is responsible for all aspects of SES’s solar energy systems budget and accounting. She also handles many other crucial organizational tasks.  teresa@solarelectricalsystems.com

Alisa Montoya
Accounting Administrator

Alisa joined SES our solar power generation team in 2005, and handles the company’s purchasing and inventory, and much, much more. She spent years managing commercial properties, overseeing leasing, inspections and budgets.  alisa@solarelectricalsystems.com

Cheri Stevens
Contracts Manager

Cheri Stevens has been with Solar Electrical Systems for 2 ½ years, and is our expert in contracts and, customer relations and solar energy benefits. She is responsible for seeing that every job runs smoothly, and processing the complicated paperwork needed for solar energy benefits, including rebates, interconnection agreements and HOA approvals. cheri@solarelectricalsystems.com

Lauren Dansey
Marketing Director

Lauren has been with SES since the beginning of the year, and is responsible for all aspects of the company’s marketing. She has been in the marketing field for over 25 years, working for KNBC in LA, and Warner Bros.  lauren@solarelectricalsystems.com

“Bear” Thrush
Crew Chief Foreman

Bear has worked at Solar Electrical Systems for five years, and is responsible for many of our satisfied customers.
