Solar Electrical Systems installed a photovoltaic system on the Irvine Inn, the first CSI MASH affordable housing project in California. The Irvine Inn's 90kW solar electrical system consists of 407 Kyocera modules and 11 SMA inverters, along with a web-based monitoring system. The system eliminates electric bills for the owner and tenants, keeping rents low. With rebates and tax incentives, the $585,000 project cost less than $105,000 out-of-pocket, pays for itself in 6 years, and saves the owners and tenants more than $5 Million over 30 years.
